drains, mainlines, and restrooms in the warehouse, no odors were found. Then we went up on the roof to check the vent stack. It turned out that the wind was blowing in the exact direction towards the HVAC intake, which pushed some of the sewer gas down into the ladies' restroom in the office area. The customer seemed thankful that we solved the mystery. He called two other Columbus plumbers who were unable to find the source of the odor.
The smell disapeared after the wind changed direction and we recommended raising the vent stack 3 feet above the HVAC intake. The customer will be calling us back soon with a decision. Who would image something like that.
